our story

How it Started

Statemint didn’t start with a business plan. It started with a feeling most women know well — the sense that there has to be something more, some way to carve out income, flexibility, and purpose on your own terms.

For Sarah, that feeling turned into action. She hosted a consignment sale. One sale, in one community, with a simple premise: what if you could earn real money clearing out your closet, and someone else could save money shopping your unused things? No complicated startup costs. No corporate ladder. Just women helping women make smart use of what they already had.

That first sale was scrappy and exhilarating. Racks went up. Tags got printed. Word spread faster than expected. Women showed up — not just to shop, but to sell, to connect, to be part of something. And in that room, something clicked. It wasn’t just a sale. It was a system that worked, built on a community that wanted it.

Growing into Something Bigger

After that first sale, the questions started coming. How can I do this in my city? Can you teach me your system? I want this kind of business too. Sarah heard it again and again, and eventually the message was impossible to ignore.

Women weren’t just interested in consignment — they were hungry for ownership. For a business model that fit around their lives rather than demanding they fit around it. So Sarah took everything she’d learned and built something that others could step into: a proven, repeatable model with the support systems to back it up.

Franchising, for Statemint, was never about growth for its own sake. It was about access — access to a business that actually works, to a community of women who get it, and to the kind of life that feels worth building toward.

Today, Statemint franchise owners — our “Frannies” — are running successful sales across the country, leading teams, building income, and creating real impact in their own communities. Every one of them started right where you might be now: wondering if this could work for them. It can.

this is just the beginning
